Okay, so you may or may not know, that I am a very unfit person. I've never felt the need to exercise because I've always been very slim and had a good figure, etc etc.
BUT. Over the past year or so, I've realised how unfit I actually am. REALLY. UNFIT. Despite efforts to try and exercise, I could never find enough motivation to stick at it.
HOWEVER. I HAVE HAD A BREAKTHROUGH.
I found this app! And bear with me because it's going to sound stupid, but it works for me, that's all that matters right?
It's basically a running app. WITH A TWIST. It puts you into your own little videogame! Like, as you're running, there's a narrative playing through your headphones about a Zombie Apocalypse, as if you're inside the world yourself. People talking to you, ordering you, telling you what supplies you'e picked up, how far away the zombies are, etc, all with sound effects and stuff.
Not only does it give you something to focus on whilst you're running, but it's constantly giving you motivation and determination to keep going. There's also an in-app game where you have to build up a base and defenses. The more you run, the more supplies you get, and the more you can build up your base C:
IT REALLY FREAKING WORKED FOR ME.
I couldn't even walk up a hill without feeling like I was out of breath. But thanks to this app, I just managed to keep my stamina up enough to jog for.... *drumroll*
1.3 MILES. (Approx)!!!
Okay, that may not sound a lot to you, but I was basically jogging (at a slow pace) for about 17 minutes, only walking for about a minute or two of that total.
You don't understand how miraculous that is for me! I'm so, so proud of myself right now - I really feel like I'm going to keep it up too!
